Google's Android 5.0 Announced Code Named As "Android Lollipop"


Google have just announced it's upcoming version of Android Operating System called Android 5.0 officially code named as "Android Lollipop". After months of teasing the release, Google finally revealed the secrete behind earlier announcement called "Android L". Google has kept its tradition of keeping Android release names from sweets. Each new version of Android has been named after a sweet treat, in alphabetical order starting with Cupcake, and then on to Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean and KitKat.

First bunch of Android 5.0 Lollipop based devices are expected to come early next month. As per the information given on official android website, Android lollipop will make a debut on Motorola's upcoming Smartphone in nexus flagship called Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 a table made by HTC and the Nexus Player.The company also confirmed that Lollipop is coming to the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10, as well as Google Play edition devices, in the coming weeks.

Google gave a gift to Motorola smartphone users by announcing Android 5.0 Lollipop updates for number of Motorola devices such as both generations of the Moto X and Moto G (including the LTE model), Moto E, Droid Maxx, Droid Mini and Droid Ultra. Though, it is not announced when this updates will be made available but atleast google confirmed its plans.

The company also going to release Android 5.0 SDK on Friday, October 17th for developers. So its clear that google has done it's best to make sure everything goes smooth and steady. so that all Google announce on its official release of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Motorola Launching Moto 360 On Flipkart


Once again Motorola is back with something really cool for the gadget lovers. With the launch of Motorola's next gadget a cool looking Wear-base Smartwatch called "Moto 360", the company planning to give some strong competition to Samsung, Sony and other manufactures. Sony and Samsung already are in market with their Android based wearable gadgets. And it seems like motorola too not wanting to be left behind.

The Moto 360 will be soon launched in India on Flipkart. The company once again trying to attract the buyers by launching it's product on it's favorite launching partner and India's most popular E-Commerce website Flipkart. The Smartwatch is already listed on Flipkart, but without price and availability details.

However Flipkart has already started attracting the gadgets lovers on social media. "It's time to wear your style! coming soon on Flipkart!" says the company on a Facebook post.

Moto 360 is one of the most awaited Smartwatch. The device which was revealed before a month ago features with a cool looking circular design with 1.5 inch LCD screen having resolution of 320 x 290. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The device is packed with TI OMAP processor and 512 MB of RAM and having 4 GB of internal storage. Moto 360 will be powered by 320 mAh battery which can power the watch thought a day on a single charge. The smartwatch also having IP67 ratings for water resistance.

 Even-though there is no official announcement of price of "Moto 360" but it is expected to be sold around Rs 15,000 by Flipkart

Youtube Soon To Provide Offline Acess To Indian Users

At the Android One launch event in India, Google announced a treat for Android users in India. It said that it will shortly allow Android users in the country to download YouTube videos and watch them offline whenever they want.



youtube mentioned that by using the offline feature users can see their favorite video again and again with out any data usage and it would also allow facility of storing the video on a device.

So the whole package involves download and saving any video without even spending any data package. Thus we can say that streaming youtube video will not be the only option to the android users of India. youtube providing this treat to the Indian android users as a part of an initiate to provide Google driven services at cheaper rates.

YouTube executive, Ceaser Sengupta stated that most of the youtube video will be made available offline for the users. According to him 40% of a overall traffic from India comes from Smartphones, Tablets and other Mobile Devices. 

However the date of release still not announced by Google. It would somewhere help google making YouTube service more attractive in the country.

 It will be interesting to see how Google navigates these challenges and we will no doubt know more in the next couple of weeks. However, as consumers, we have to say that this is good news even with the limited information available right now.

Dell’s $129 Dongle Puts Android On Any Screen


While we wait patiently for the rise of the Android-powered TVDell has taken the initiative and released a portable HDMI dongle that can turn any screen with an HDMI or MHL port into an Android PC, complete with access to the cloud. dell making it possible for Android Lovers to use Android Operating system on any screen they want. Dell recently launched its Android powered Dongle which has ability to run Android operating System where ever you want.

The new stick runs Android Jelly Bean, also supports MHL connections (mobile high-def) and offers Bluetooth and mini USB for mouse, keyboard and other device connectivity. In addition to onboard connectivity for Bluetooth, the new Dell Wyse Cloud Connect also offers 802.11n dual-band Wi-Fi and the standard Google Play store for Android software.
